Development Director (Portland)

The Development Director is responsible for creating a vision and plan for SMART’s statewide development program, and for providing leadership to ensure its effective implementation.

Manages development team and oversees all development programs, including campaign planning and implementation, major gifts, endowment, public and private grants, events/promotions, broad-based grassroots fundraising, and direct response/e-based fundraising.

BA degree and 5 years of progressive management experience in development required.

Assistant Program Manager (Corvallis)

SMART in Polk, Marion, Benton, & Linn Counties

This position is responsible for overseeing the activities of the SMART Program in Polk, Marion, Benton, & Linn counties, with particular attention and focus on quality, safety, and meeting volunteer recruitment goals.

Duties include training and supporting school coordinators, building relationships with school site administrators, and administering site evaluations. This position will work cooperatively with the Area Manager.

Part-time Area Assistant (Coos Bay)

SMART in Coos and Curry Counties

Applicants must have a minimum  of two years office experience and a passionate commitment to helping Oregon’s children read and succeed. Key components of this job include performing general office duties, basic financial operations and maintaining up-to-date volunteer records.

The Area Assistant must be a self-starter who is goal-oriented, professional and a successful problem-solver. This is a 10 hour per week position.
